We are excited to be heading to GABS in just a few short weeks.

The Great Australian Beer Spectacular (GABS) is recognised as one of the best beer festivals in the world, a Disneyland for beer lovers, as they say! This year you will be able to taste 120 new and unique Craft Beers, brewed exclusively for the festival.

Hosted at the legendary Royal Exhibition Building and running over 3 days in May, this event is sure to be one to remember.

For GABS, we are brewing a beer that pays homage to the region we are from. Known for its rolling hills, wineries and its world class produce. We have taken two of our favourite ingredients from the Yarra Valley to bring you an exciting beer that will transport you to one of the countless green spaces in our beautiful region, sitting under a tree, kicking back and taking it all in!

Our beer

Our Cherry Fruited Braggot is a luscious, sweet beer with a dry finish. Aromatic Cherries and honey flavours will be followed by an unmistakable Saison spice.

We aren’t just hoping the flavours transport you, we have teamed up with two local businesses for our key ingredients.

The honey is a Eucalyptus variety from Seville, by Bens Bees. Ben Moore, the man behind Bens Bees describes himself as an apiarist, environmentalist, father, food-lover. He is also responsible for the honey we included in our Bees Knees Cider. Bens Beers has a focus on ethical and natural beekeeping practices, Ben is passionate about educating people about bees and their vital connection to the environment and our everyday lives. We love Ben’s ethos, knowledge and the honey he provides is next level!

The Cherries are from Coldstream icons Cherry Hill Orchards. Found just down the highway, the orchard was established over 80 years ago by the Riseborogh family and still run by the grandsons of the founders today. They have over 40 varieties of ripe, rich cherries, all grown with a passion and expertise that was present all those years ago when the business was started. The rich flavour of cherries is sure to bring something special to our GABS submission.
